Community Integration

Community integration, community activities, and utilization of day programs are required practices that we proudly embrace and support. In addition to our staff, family and friends are regularly visiting our residents and taking them out for activities, outings, holiday parties, etc.

Family members and friends play an integral part of ICF/ID residents’ lives. They are welcome at any time and are encouraged to take their loved ones on outings and vacations and participate in activities at the residents’ homes. Family contact is crucial to the continued development of each resident, and an open line of communication between the family and the staff is provided at all times.

Community Involvement

Our programs focus on community involvement. We feel people are most happy interacting with others and taking full advantage of what the community has to offer. Individuals choose the type of recreation activities they are most comfortable with whether that would be in the community or taking advantage of our stellar in-house recreation programs. There are a variety of choices for your loved one, in fact, many of our individuals even participate in several Special Olympic events.

Work Opportunities and Day Programs

People who choose to live in a Utah community ICF/ID can work in environments that will help them find the most success. Many find success working in the community with needed supports while others find day programs and sheltered workshops to be very rewarding.
